Leadership - Sept. 29, 2011

-Jackie Brosseuk and Krista Carnegie in as guest speakers to present the "Golden Leaf Sister School Foundation Project" and the "Peace Tiles Project".  We learned about the history of Cambodia and how the Golden Leaf foundation is working to improve educational opportunities for youth in Cambodia today.

For tomorrow:  "Present Me" assignment due.

-went over answers in class
-discussed how the fall of the Roman Empire related to the movie clip from "Lean on Me".
-students wrote a paragraph on how they thought that Western Europe would be able to climb out of the chaos that it faced after the Fall of the Roman Empire.
-as a class, we discussed some ways in which religion can impact society

-together, we summarized a news article as an example
-students worked in the library to complete two more news article summaries
