Online PE 8

Welcome to Online PE 8

Our goal is to help you stay active and healthy while at home.  We'll provide you with opportunities and choices.  Your job is to CHOOSE and COMPLETE the exercise/workout and then RECORD the required information in a PE JOURNAL.  You will share your PE journal on the FRIDAY of each week (through Office 365) with your teacher.

Every weekday we will give you a choice of possible activities.  You need to choose ONE.
(Starting next Monday)

Click on the link below and then DOWNLOAD the PE Journal to your computer/device:

PE JOURNAL

Do NOT edit it in Office 365
Once you have FILLED it in, RENAME it (PE8 - "your full name") and SHARE it with me.

Need HELP filling out your PE JOURNAL?
  • Perceived Rate of Exertion
  • Remember how to take your carotid (in your neck) pulse?  Count your beats for 15 seconds and then multiply by 4 to get your beats/minute.

One of the on-line resources we will be using is:
Darebee Fitness WORKOUTS

If you need help understanding the workouts, please read on and click on the links available:
Introduction to Darebee workouts

ALL DAREBEE WORKOUTS ARE DESIGNED FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, REGARDLESS OF ILLUSTRATIONS.  THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN DIFFICULTY OR APPROACH IN ROUTINES WITH MALE OR FEMALE ILLUSTRATIONS IN THEM.

Suggestions on how to make your workouts / home fitness more FUN!

  • challenge a friend or a group of friends to a physical contest (for example:  who can do the most continuous pushups, who can hold a plank the longest, who can run the most km's in a week (outside or on a treadmill, if you have access to one), who can accumulate the greatest number of "steps" in a day, etc .... be creative!)
  • do your daily workout with a friend, group of friends, using FaceTime.
  • The PE department will be adding some unique challenges to keep things interesting... watch for them.
